Disney Channel U.S. Highlights - 2008

Disney Channel continued its dominance of Prime’s landscape, owning TV’s No. 1 scripted series in Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 for the third straight year with “The Suite Life on Deck,” and also delivering the No. 1 Cable/TV entertainment telecast in Total Viewers and Tweens 9-14, respectively, with “Camp Rock.” In addition, “Phineas and Ferb” qualified as TV’s No. 1 animated series of the year in Tweens 9-14, with “Hannah Montana” and “Wizards of Waverly Place” ranking among TV’s Top series in both key kid targets. Playhouse Disney’s “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” ranked among cable’s Top 10 series of 2008.

In Prime, Disney Channel ranked as TV’s No. 1 network for the sixth straight year in Kids 6-11 and for the eighth consecutive year in Tweens 9-14. In Total Viewers, the network was cable’s No. 2 network in Prime, marking the channel’s third straight year ranking among the Top 2 cable networks for the year.
