DISNEY CHANNEL TO SHOWCASE STORIES OF KIDS AND TEENS WHO ARE ACTIVELY MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD, IN NEW EDITIONS OF "MAKE YOUR MARK," BEGINNING FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12

New segments that showcase kids and teens from around the country whose uplifting stories can encourage their peers to get inspired, to connect to the world, and to communicate in positive ways will be presented as part of the Emmy Award-winning "Make Your Mark" series, beginning FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12 on Disney Channel. The interstitial series is designed to reach kids age 6-14 with a wide array of empowering, relevant stories and to augment the Channel's themes of communication, diversity and optimism.

NEW INTERSTITIALS HIGHLIGHTING REAL-LIFE DOCTORS, NURSES, DENTISTS AND PARAMEDICS TO DEBUT DURING "DOC MCSTUFFINS: SCHOOL OF MEDICINE" PROGRAMMING EVENT FOR KIDS AGE 2-7, BEGINNING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 ON DISNEY CHANNEL

"Doc McStuffins," the Emmy-nominated animated series about a little girl who can talk to and heal stuffed animals and toys out of her playhouse clinic, models compassion and good health for kids age 2-7 and has been lauded for its strong storytelling that provides a role model for girls and boys all over the world.

"Doc McStuffins: School of Medicine," a programming event featuring back-to-back episodes of the hit series and interstitials with real-life health professionals in the fields of medicine, dentistry and emergency response will air MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 - FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 (9:00-10:00 a.m. ET/PT) on Disney Channel. The highlighted medical professionals in the interstitials each have specialties that mirror those of Doc's from the morning's episodes.

DISNEY CHANNEL ORDERS SECOND SEASON OF GIRL MEETS WORLD, #1 SERIES AMONG KIDS AND TWEENS

Disney Channel has ordered a second season of the comedy series "Girl Meets World." It was announced today by Adam Bonnett, Executive Vice President, Original Programming, Disney Channels Worldwide. Since its June premiere, "Girl Meets World" has ranked as television's number one series among Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14. To date, it has generated 4.7 million views on the WATCH Disney Channel app for mobile devices. "Girl Meets World" was created by Michael Jacobs and April Kelly and is executive-produced by Jacobs. It stars Rowan Blanchard, Sabrina Carpenter, Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel, August Maturo, Peyton Meyer and Corey Fogelmanis. Production resumes in Los Angeles in November.
