Jake and the Never Land Pirates
COREY BURTON
Captain Hook
Corey Burton voices the role of Captain Hook in Disney Junior's new animated series, "Jake and the Never Land Pirates." Burton has voiced Captain Hook for almost 30 years.
Burton began his voice acting career over 35 years ago and today is considered one of the last authentically old school "Voice Men" in America, having studied the craft of radio drama with the legendary Daws Butler ("Yogi Bear") and a host of other great Hollywood Radio Theatre veterans. He is considered by many to be an authority on the subject of voice acting, and is occasionally a consultant on dialects and studio microphones.
Over the past two decades, Burton has lent his voice to many of Walt Disney Animation's classic feature films, including the role of Gaetan 'The Mole' Moliere in "Atlantis: The Lost Empire." His other feature film credits in ADR/looping work include "E.T.," "Total Recall" and "Poltergeist." Additionally, Burton portrayed Walt Disney in "Inside Walt's Story Meetings" a bonus feature included in a special "Bambi" DVD release.
For television, Burton is best known as Cad Bane and Count Dooku in Lucasfilm's hit animated series, "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." Additionally, he has been a promo announcer for each of the major broadcast television networks, including five years as the voice of NBC's Peacock Logo.
Burton's voice talent can also be heard on many blockbuster video game releases and gaming series including "Batman: Arkham Asylum," "Fantasy X-2," "Kingdom Hearts," "Star Wars" ("Clone Wars" and "The Old Republic") and "God of War." In the commercial world, Burton is best known as Old Navy's longest-running "signature voice," and as the distinctively different narrator on the trailer campaigns for feature films, "Déjà Vu" and "Grindhouse/Machete."
The San Fernando Valley native has voiced sound-a-likes and original characters for hundreds of entertainment and educational productions, and can be heard in any number of characterizations somewhere in the media across the U.S. and Canada every day; as well as at all Disney and Universal Theme Parks and distinguished museum exhibits, worldwide.
